Bourne had some interesting names this season. All in all, not a bad group.

Zach MacPhee, 2B, ASU

Contact-oriented second baseman with solid average speed and defense. Limited power, good base runner, smart player.

Tommy LaStella, INF, Coastal Carolina

Super aggressive hitter, bat will be considered best tool. Down-and-dirty player, lacks standout tools, but puts ball in play.

Travis Shaw, 1B, Kent State

Left-handed hitting corner guy showed solid and consistent contact with potential for average power at best. Average defender, below average speed and arm.

Grayson Garvin, LHP (Vanderbilt)

Tall lefty repeats mechanics and stays within 87-90 velocity with plus command. Plus change, creates a lot of deception.

Scott Woodward, 2B (Coastal Carolina)

Strong through his hips and thighs, left-handed hitter who drives the ball off creating torque. Big stolen base numbers in college, didn’t run when I saw him. Bad end to summer with fractured foot.

Nick Ahmed, INF, (UConn)

Body type and athleticism will naturally get him some looks, didn’t show me a standout tool.
